Home Services About Scott About Herb Contact

Scott sat on the first Board of the Oregon Family Law Section and was legislative liaison for the Section for seven years. During this time, many of the significant pieces of family law legislation now in our Code were debated and passed. He is a former President of the Oregon State Bar Family Law Section. His first mediation came in c.1985 when a circuit judge appointed him to mediate in a “corporate fight” divorce in the middle of a trial. It settled. He has routinely mediated cases ever since.

Scott and Herb sat on the first Multnomah County Family Law Rules Subcommittee to establish what are now the Supplemental Local Rules for Multnomah County Family Court processes. The committee designed the first mandatory mediation system in Oregon. Scott has been a presenter to attorney education seminars at least once per year since 1982. They have continued to support rule and law changes to enhance the use of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) in Oregon. Scott is a Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers and is recognized by Oregon Super Lawyers (www.superlawyers.com).
